How to use your own signature RSS feed for Gmail’s Signature Random Labs feature

Uncategorized

For those who don’t know, Google came out with an interesting idea for Gmail from their R&D Labs.  You can now enable some interesting capabilities inside gmail like a random quote above your signature.  Very cool.

  1. Start by creating your own quotes or find ones you would like to use. QuotesDaddy.com is a fantastic service for this where you can create your own account and write your quotes easyily.  It took me less than a minute to create my account and add my first quote by the hilarious Ken Robinson in a presentation at TED

  2. Now that your quotes are done, get the URL for your signature RSS feed from QuotesDaddy as shown here:

  3. Now in In Gmail, click Settings..Labs

  4. Now Enable the Random Signature Tweak

UPDATE: OK, so it turns out that the tweak pulls your signature but not randomly. I have asked quotesdaddy.com for a response and hopefully they get back to me.
